There streams offered for 11 and 12-grade students are Science with Mathematics, Science without Mathematics, Commerce, and Arts (Humanities Stream). Subjects offered in these streams are:
In Bangalore, GIIS has two world-class campuses in Whitefield and Bannerghatta situated among the beauty of nature with well-equipped classrooms, facilities, and infrastructure.
The academic-related activities offered at GIIS are skill-based programmes, value-added programmes like STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), theme-based assemblies, inter-house activities, competitions, field trips, and leadership lecture series.
GIIS aims at the holistic growth of students and hence gives equal importance to academics and non-academic activities that instill values, boost creativity and reasoning abilities, builds their personality, aids in physical and emotional growth, and teaches the importance of entrepreneurial, leadership, social skills. The school offers a variety of ECA and CCA activities that help them to overcome the real challenges of the world.
The transportation facility is divided into 5 zones and is based on the kilometers to be traveled. The fees can be paid term-wise for 4 terms and depend on the zone the student belongs to.
At the time of admission process the admission fee needs to be paid that is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Books and uniforms are not included in the annual fees.
There are various options available for fee payment that includes bank drafts, cash, cheque, debit, or credit cards. All Cheques are to be made in favour of “GLOBAL INDIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, BANGALORE.” in India.
GIIS has a well-structured fee payment system The entire fees can be either paid annually or term-wise. Each academic year is divided into 4 terms of 3 months each and the fees have to be paid at the beginning of each term.
The high school admissions at GIIS are open throughout the year. The admission form can be filled online or a visit to the school can help in the seamless admission process.
During the admission process the students need to take an assessment after the counseling session. This test is to gauge the knowledge of the students.
The documents required at the time of admissions are:
● Student birth certificate
● Recent passport size photographs
● Residential address proof
● Medical Certificate.
During the campus visit the parents can request the guides to connect them with the existing students to know more about the school, student life, and the subjects offered in high school.
The scholarships offered at GIIS are:
1. Global Citizen Scholarship-11 and 12 grade
2. GIIS Global Sports Scholarship-1 to 12 grade
3. APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarship-6 to 12 grade
4. 9 GEMS Holistic Development Scholarship-6 to 12 grade
5. Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Merit cum Means Scholarship-Nursery,
kindergarten and 1 to 12 grade
6. Global Future Ready Merit Scholarship-7 to 12 grade.
The major requirements of a scholarship are:
● Students must be citizens of India (except for the Global Citizen Scholarship)
● Submit valid address and ID proof
● Excellent academic track record
● Won recognition or awards on international, national or state level
● Must have invented or innovated tools or gadgets
● Submitted thesis or published documents
● Participated and won in international, national or state competitive examinations.
The 9 GEMS scholarship is divided into categories A, B, and C. The eligibility criteria is to have won recognition or award in any of the nine GEMS skills internationally, nationally, regionally, or state-wise.
GIIS follows a structured scholarship process that involves 5 steps:
1. Submission of forms along with the required documentation like academic
records of previous years, certificates, awards, recognitions
2. Notification via mail within 10 working days
3. Scholarship assessment
4. One on one interview if applicable
5. Scholarship selection plus disbursal.
