Before discussing the preschool fee structure, I think we need to address this question: Why does your child need Preschool?

Well, you must be wondering that preschool is necessary only for children of working professionals. In the matter of sheer convenience, it might be true but let me tell you that a preschool is like the building block of your child’s future and is beneficial to every little toddler around the world. Let’s take a look at the benefits of preschool admission.

Bridge to primary school

Most often, the students feel overwhelmed and they don’t go to school with a happy temperament so pre-school is an excellent way to bridge the gap between the home environment and that of a formal primary school. The students become fond of going to school and they learn the habit of reading and learning new skills. This bridges the gap between the preschool and primary school phase and helps children adapt to these concepts faster.

Out of the comfort zone

Children are pampered at home and sometimes they are overprotected which may hamper their growth and independence. Preschool allows children to move out of their comfort zone and explore new things within the safe limit. Teachers of preschools are highly experienced who help the students to stretch their limits and unleash their potential fully. Moreover, teachers also motivate the students to pursue sports and subjects of their choice.

Learn new skills

Kids learn basic skills like language and numeracy and apart from this, they participate in extracurricular activities too. Learning these skills gives them the extra edge and they are ahead of the usual timelines and developmental charts.

Build confidence in oneself

In playschool, various activities are conducted including group tasks and competitions that boost the self-confidence of the children at a very young age. Personality development begins from the time a child is born. A kid is affected by external factors a lot so it builds the basic character and nature of the child. So when a child is exposed to some small challenges he becomes more self-confident

What is the fee structure of preschools?

The school fee structure is variable. But in general, most of the schools have the following set of charges. The package is decided based on your choice.

● Registration fees (generally it is one time payable)

● Admission fees

● Annual fees

● Full daycare fees

● Half daycare fees

● Night care

● Extra charges per hour

● Evening activities

You might be worried about the hefty preschool fee structure but let me tell you, most of the schools have the provision for scholarships for students. Scholarships are provided based on excellence in academics/ sports/ extracurricular activities. This provides an access to quality education to even the underprivileged students.

Preschools in Pune

Pune is a city famous for its cultural and educational background so there are several top schools in Pune. There are a plethora of preschools for making your child’s future but do you think getting your child’s admission in any of the schools will serve the purpose. No, it will not fulfill the requirements. So, you need to look for a school that not only takes care of your child but also delivers the required skills and knowledge.

Preschool is the first and a very significant step in the educational journey of a child. A little bit of confusion is inevitable but choosing the right preschool for your child is very much doable with the right information.

Do you know there is something called Montessori? Let me tell you. Montessori is a curriculum specially designed for kids.

What is Montessori?

Maria Montessori developed a teaching methodology known as Montessori. In this method, the school syncs with the basic nature of a child rather than fighting it. Let’s talk about the 10 principles of Montessori education.

● Experiential learning – The schools based on Montessori curriculum design make the students learn through activities. For example- instead of mugging up the mathematics facts, the students do the activities with the help of wooden blocks or any other concrete material. In this way, the students learn quickly and their interest increases.

● Various age groups – The students of a range of age groups are put in one batch. For example students of ages 3 to 6 are grouped together. The advantage is the students learn from their older batchmates. Moreover, they also learn to mingle with children of other age groups.

● Organized environment – The Montessori schools are set up in such a way that it attracts the students to learn. The colors of the walls are muted and allow sunlight to enter the room. The shelves are at a low height so that students can easily grab their books on their own. The students are conditioned in this kind of environment. Buckets of colorful books are kept in the classrooms to gain the child’s attention. So this is more of active learning than passive learning of listening to teachers.

● One to one curriculum – Teachers do not give a common lesson to all the kids rather one to one lessons are given depending on the needs of the child. The students then work independently and try to make things perfect whatever they have learned.

● Freedom within safety limits – The students are free to choose the subject they want to read, they can choose to dance all day. They can choose to sit on the floor or chair. But the teachers are there for guidance so that students can do their activities within the safe limit.

● Holistic education- The Montessori education focuses on a child’s physical, intellectual and social well-being that builds the overall personality of the child. It is common for schools to work on the intelligence quotient of a child but working on the emotional quotient of a child has become equally important nowadays.

● Role of the teacher- The teachers act as guides. Instead of teaching the whole group of students, they concentrate on the individual child. The teachers are supportive and the students are promoted to do active learning instead of listening passively to the teachers.

With so many top schools in Pune, you might get confused about which one to choose for your kid. But if you still have any query then you can book virtual counseling. You just need to fill an online form available on the official website of the school. So do your research, read a lot, get feedback from parents and students directly and then only take any decision as it is one of the most crucial steps in your child’s career and personal growth.
