The admissions at GIIS are open throughout the year. The students and parents are welcome to apply at any time for the academic session beginning in April. Students or parents who are keen on applying for GIIS can fill out a simple admission form available on our website and we will contact them soon.

The admission procedure requires the submission of documents and certificates depending upon the grade an applicant is applying for. You can find more details from the admission counsellors once you decide to meet them.

GIIS Kuala Lumpur caters to students from various age groups right from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In fact, GIIS is the only Indian international school in Kuala Lumpur that offers a complete international curriculum to its students.

GIIS Kuala Lumpur campus offers four different types of curricula. They are Global Montessori Plus programme, Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, IGCSE programme and CBSE.

Under the GMP programme, we provide universally-acclaimed Montessori schooling in combination with our very own version of childhood education. Students from Nursery to Kindergarten fall under this programme. There are 5 parts of this programme – Excelerate programme, Multi-faceted learning, iPlay programme, iCare programme and Future-ready programme.

Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme is for students aged 11 to 14 years and in Grades 6 and 7. This course provides a solid foundation for students planning to take up the IGCSE curriculum in Grades 8 to 10. This curriculum encourages young students and enhances their confidence in working with various information and ideas as well as provides a strong foundation in English, Maths, and Science.

The IGCSE programme at Kuala Lumpur is for students aged 14 to 16 studying in Grades 8, 9 & 10. Some of the most significant results of opting for IGCSE are that students get to learn or develop critical thinking, enquiry-based learning and problem solving skills.

CBSE curriculum in GIIS Kuala Lumpur offers an extensive offering for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The interdisciplinary teaching approach provides students with a powerful opportunity to apply knowledge, principles, and values to more than one academic subject simultaneously. This curriculum encompasses built-in activities which promote cross-curricular learning.
The subjects vary according to the different grades and curriculum that a student opts for.
The overall subjects offered are – English, Hindi, Stem, Mathematics, EVA (Environmental Awareness), Dance and Music, Free play and Structured play and Montessori.

For Grade 8, the subjects offered are- English, Mathematics, Economics, Environmental Management, Business studies, English as a Second Language, Language 2 – French/Hindi/Tamil, Computer Science, Physical Education, Global Perspectives, Science.

For Grade 9 , the subjects offered are- English, Mathematics (Without course work), Economics, Environmental Management, Business studies, English as a Second Language, Foreign Language French, Hindi as a Second Language, GCE ‘O’ Level Ordinary Level, Literature English, Computer Science, Physical Education, Global Perspectives, Biology, Physics, Chemistry.

For Grade 10, the subjects offered are- English, Accounting, Mathematics (Without course work), Economics, Environmental Management, Business studies, English as a Second Language, Foreign Language French, Hindi as a Second Language, GCE ‘O’ Level Ordinary Level, Literature English, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Physical Education, Global Perspectives, Biology, Physics, Chemistry.

The subjects in grades 6 and 7 include – English as first language, Mathematics, Science and Cambridge Global Perspectives.

The subjects offered for grade 1 & 2 are- English, Maths, EVS –Environmental studies, IT –Information technology, Second Language –Hindi/Tamil/French, Sanskrit.

The subjects offered from Grades 3 to 5 are- English, Maths, Science, Social Science, Information Technology, Second Language – Hindi/Tamil/French/Malay, and Sanskrit. 

The subjects offered from Grades 6 to 8 are- English, Maths, Science, Social Science, Information Technology, Second Language – Hindi/Tamil/French, Third Language: Hindi/Tamil/French /Sanskrit /Mandarin. 

The subjects offered in grades 9 and 10 are: English, Maths, Science, Social Science, Foundation Information Technology and Second Language: Hindi/Tamil /French. You can choose any one among the following- Biology, Computer Science and Business Studies.

The subjects offered in grades 11 and 12 are: 

Science group- English, Maths, Economics, Accountancy and Business studies. 

Commerce group with Mathematics- English, Maths, Economics, Accountancy and Business studies.

Commerce without Mathematics- English, Physical Education, Economics, Accountancy and Business studies.

GIIS Singapore offers various scholarships to students from grades 1 to 12. The categories range from academia to sports to merit-cum-means and scientific temperament.
Each scholarship cycle lasts for 3 months. The Global Schools Foundation holds four such cycles under its banner. GSF ensures that financial challenges do not hold back meritorious students from pursuing their education at the best institutions in Kuala Lumpur to fulfil their dreams and aspirations.
Five types of scholarships are offered at GIIS Kuala Lumpur. They are Global Citizen Scholarship, 9Gems Holistic Development Scholarship, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarship, Tunku Abdul Rahman Universal Values merit cum means scholarship and Global FUTURE-READY Merit Scholarship.
