The GIIS Global Citizen Scholarship is a scholarship for high school students and a stepping stone for academically deserving students to receive a fantastic learning experience at the flagship GIIS SMART Campus in Singapore, GIIS Pune Balewadi and hadapsar campus, GIIS Whitefield Campus in Bangalore.
The scholarship offers upto 100% waiver on Tuition and hostel fees per student and is a once in a lifetime opportunity for academically meritorious students to complete Grades 11 and 12 at the GIIS SMART Campus and other listed campuses in India The SMART Campus has gained a reputation as the School of the Future, and studying at this campus opens many doors for students both academically and socially to excel as global citizens.
The scholarship is offered to about ten students every year, and 100’s of students have received this GIIS scholarship since its founding in 2008. Since the inception of GIIS Global Citizen Scholarship,it has provided excellent academic and career prospects to academically talented and deserving students across the globe. Over the years, students who have received the scholarship and graduated through the programme have performed well in board exams like the CBSE and the IB Diploma and ranked among world toppers. There are a total of 14 world toppers and 24 near-perfect toppers in the IB program from the SMART Campus alone.
The No Bond scholarship is offered to students who complete Class 10 with strong academic grades and extracurricular credentials to pursue junior college in the IB Diploma Program and senior secondary school in the CBSE board at the GIIS Smart Campus in Singapore. GIIS scholarship graduates have achieved placements in top universities around the world to further their career prospects and to pursue studies in the topic of their choice.
Academic criteria and eligibility for the GIIS scholarship
At GIIS Singapore , for the CBSE board, ICSE board and state boards, Class 9 students and Class 10 students must have a minimum 80 percent aggregate. For the IGCSE board, Class 9 and Class 10 students must have an A* in all subjects. The medium of instruction must be in English, and the board exam and final exam mark sheet should be provided on the declaration of results. At the time of submitting the application form, the pre-board exam mark sheet will be required.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written exam. The online exam includes multiple choice questions covering English, mathematics and logical and analytical reasoning. Applicants who successfully complete and clear the online exam will be called for an interview round. The interview dates are based on the situation at the time and travel guidelines issued by the government. International test centers include Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur. In contrast, the India test centers include Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Indore, Noida, Surat, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Kota, Jammu, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Ranchi, Patna, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur, Madurai and Trivandrum.
