Categories for the MCM Scholarship
The Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, also known as the MCM Scholarship, is divided into four different categories:
● Category A scholarship. The Category A scholarship is given to parents with household incomes of less than 8,00,000 INR and provides 20 percent off on tuition fees.
● Category B scholarship. The Category B scholarship is provided to parents with household incomes of 8,00,000 to 10,00,000 INR and offers 15 percent off on tuition fees.
● Category C scholarship. The Category C scholarship is given to parents with household incomes of 10,00,000 to 12,00,000 INR and provides 12 percent off on tuition fees.
● Category D scholarship. The Category D scholarship is given to parents with household incomes of 12,00,000 to 25,00,000 INR and offers 10 percent off on tuition fees.
Eligibility criteria for the MCM Scholarship
The MCM Scholarship is mainly given to support academically deserving students from moderate family income groups, and students are assessed based on their past two years of academic performance and gross family income.
Students must have received at least 60 percent marks or equivalent for the past two years. Applications submitted without the right support documents will not be processed.
Applicants must be Indian citizens and must submit family income documents and a tax assessment from the past two years. In the case of local guardians, the gross family income of local guardians in India will be considered as a base for processing the application. The applicants must also submit a self-declaration form for gross family income in order to qualify.
The scholarship application process for the MCM Scholarship
In terms of the scholarship process, there are about five different steps involved. The first step of the scholarship process is that applicants must first submit an application form and upload all prerequisite documents in the application form.
